Season of Creation: Saint Jean de Bassel Convent opened its doors

As part of the European Patrimony Days and in observance of the Season of Creation, Saint Jean de Bassel Convent opened its doors on September 19 and 20 for a series of activities focused on respect for nature according to the spirit of Laudato Si.
Saturday offered meditative workshops, brown bag picnic and a vigil around a campfire that concluded with a Taize style prayer.
Workshops offering practical tips were featured on Sunday along with products made by local artisans and growers.
An ecumenical prayer service closed this weekend of “contemplation and action”. A powerpoint featuring photos of the convent park accompanied by the song “Laudato Si” of Patrick Richard inspired awe and gratitude for the beauty of Creation. You can enjoy the photos and the music HERE
